How long has Next Step been around?
Next Step Pregnancy (formerly known as Angelorum) was started back in 1998! We’ve been in a few locations since then before settling in Lynnwood in 2018. We were recognized back in 1998 as a pregnancy resource center by Sr. Paula from International Life Services out of CA. We’ve been going strong ever since!
What is our Mission Statement?
The mission of Next Step Pregnancy Services is to protect the family in its entirety from conception to birth and beyond. Providing compassionate service and knowledgeable advice on pregnancy, parenting, health, and empowerment. Helping mothers to take on their sacred parenting role with confidence and love.
Can I help support Next Step and Prepares? What’s the difference between them?
Prepares and Next Step have the same mission. Protecting the family in its entirety from conception to natural end. Both Prepares and Next Step offer material goods for families and both Prepares and Next Step walk with families beyond birth in dignity and compassion – assisting as best we are able as long as we are able.
Next Step offers prenatal care and medical care pre-birth which is a huge piece to ensuring mothers feel they have options other than abortion. When you are alone, frightened, in school, or unemployed – pregnancy can be an extreme stressor. Next Step can confirm your pregnancy, show your baby via ultrasounds and have nurses and advocates on hand for all your needs. Next Step also offers STD/STI testing and treatment as well as Post-Reproductive Loss Grief Care.
So Prepares and Next Step work hand in hand in promoting the sanctity of life and beyond. You can support both! By volunteering, prayer, drives and financial giving. Check us out!
Does Next Step have a medical doctor or nurses?
Yes! Next Step Pregnancy Services has a licensed and practicing medical director as well as two licensed nurses both of whom are trained on early OB ultrasounds and other prenatal medical care. We also have volunteer nurses who can answer medical questions and STI care and patient advocates to set up prenatal care and help with supplies.
What services does Next Step offer?
Next Step offers free early OB ultrasounds (5-17 weeks) with licensed nurses and sonographers 2-3 days per week! We also offer pregnancy testing, maternity, baby, and toddler supplies, referrals for medical insurance, mental health care, STD/STI testing and treatment, APR services and more. We also offer miscarriage and post abortion care and prenatal care. All of our services are free!
Is Next Step affiliated with a particular church?
No. Next Step Pregnancy Services is its own entity. We work closely with local churches – Catholic and Non-Catholic alike to serve our families and promote life. Next Step is filled with followers of Christ and we share our faith in our actions. Come join us!
Does Next Step receive any federal, state, or city funding or assistance?
No. Next Step Pregnancy Services is a recognized 501(c)3 Non Profit organization in the state of WA, City of Lynnwood and is 100% donor run. We receive no federal, state, or city funding. Our services remain free because of generous donors, individuals, families, churches, local businesses, private grants, and local community services. Are there any restrictions for which clients we accept?
No! Next Step welcomes all. There is no requirement to disclose income, marital status, zip code, or religion. All are welcome. If you need help or services – come on in.

Who are the Next Step Affiliates?
Next Step affiliates are: NIFLA (National Institute of Family and Life Advocates) and Heartbeat International. We also work with Abundant Life and CareNet as well as Western Washington Coalition for Life.
Can Next Step offer service hours?
Yes, Next Step does have opportunities for youngsters to obtain service hours. Give us a call!
What resources are given to expectant moms?
Ultrasound scans as well as maternity items and baby accessories. Next Step also offers a layette one month before birth. Containing several blankets, gowns, onsies, sleepers, clothes, towels and washcloths, bibs, hats, socks, mittens, hand held toys and stuffies as well as packs of size newborn, 1, and 2 diapers and wipes!
Does Next Step offer post-abortive and/or miscarriage and infant loss care?
Yes! Our Nurse Manager became certified with Life Perspectives to obtain training for assisting the many young women coming to us after an infant loss, be it through miscarriage or abortion. To care for them and help them through such a tremendous physical, emotional, and spiritual ordeal.
